Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-09-23

This policy explains how the ARctrl Android app and arctrl.com handle information related to sign-in, voice input, and core services.

Information we collect

  • When you use Google sign-in to obtain an ARctrl identity token, the app requests your basic Google profile, email address, and a one-time server authorization code.
  • The app generates and stores a random device ID to associate your device with your ARctrl identity token, points, or usage status.
  • When you use voice input, ARctrl privately hosts Gboard and enters the recognized text into your selected field. Gboard provides speech recognition; ARctrl does not upload recordings to the ARctrl backend.
  • The app may process the Android accessibility tree, current display information, and your selected control target to provide on-device screen control.

How we use Google OAuth data

The Google authorization code is used only to verify your Google account on the ARctrl backend and issue an ARctrl identity token. ARctrl does not obtain your Google password or sell your Google account information to third parties.

Data sharing

ARctrl uses cloud services only as needed to provide its features, such as identity verification and file downloads. Data processed by Gboard for speech recognition is subject to its own privacy policy. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties unless required by law or expressly authorized by you.

Local storage

Your ARctrl identity token and random device ID are stored in the Android app's private local storage. You can delete this local data by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it.

Data deletion

To request deletion of server-side data associated with Google sign-in or your ARctrl identity token, email taowen@gmail.com and include your Google email address or ARctrl identity token.
